What others say about Michael Campbell

Testimonials from students....

*    Monte Zucker, International speaker on photography...."Life's great treasures include occasionally discovering something new and exciting. Michael Campbell's portraiture is all of this...and more. His images transcend time. His style is so unique, one feels exhilaration from peering into his mind's eye. I have never before been so captivated by a style of photography as I am by this collection of images. Connoisseurs the world over should be aware that a spectacular Art Form has been created by Michael Campbell. I urge everyone to enjoy his extreme talent."

*    Ken Whitmire, National Print Judge for Professional Photographers of America ..."This is the first new and exciting idea I have seen in photography in fifteen years of print judging. All of his prints would score in the high nineties in National competition. An extraordinary and unique achievement. Some of his portraits remind one of Norman Rockwell's Saturday Evening Post Covers, others have the qualities of the great master paintings of the 17th and 18th century in Europe. I believe Michael Campbell has really developed a new and very beautiful style of portraiture."

*    Michael Campbell's portraits took first and second place out of 8000 entries in Professional Photographers of America Competition .

*    Alessandro Baccari, museum curator and former executive director of the Professional Photographers of California...'Michael Campbell is one of the premier photographers in America today. His portraits are held in high esteem throughout the world for their imagination, sensitivity and technical quality'.

*    Ernest Brooks, President of Brooks Institute of Photography Santa Barbara....'Michael Campbell's impressionistic photographs represent the most beautiful classical portraiture being produced anywhere in the world today.

*    Mario Simic , Owner of Simic Galleries in Carmel, Beverly Hills, and La Jolla...."These are not like any photographs I have ever seen before. They are gorgeous art pieces and as such I would like to display them in my galleries as limited edition lithographs."

*    Bernard Schanz, Owner of Silver Cloud Gallery and member of International Society of Art Appraisers..."In my 30 years in this business, I have never seen such emotion captured in one image. It inspires the same feelings as when viewing a Degas or Renoir. Michael Campbell is an Artist who paints with a camera."

*    Cushman Dow, President of San Diego Chamber of Commerce...."Your exhibition is an absolute smash hit. Never in the world have I seen such outstanding portraits as those you have presented in this show. Congratulations."

*    Anne Mound, Public Relations, Salk Institute... "The Portrait of Jonas that you made is the finest portrait of Dr Salk that we have seen. It will be given the place of honor in the new Salk Institute wing."

*    Dr. Denis Waitley, Author & Management Consultant... "Michael Campbell is the next generation in master artists. He combines the eye, experience, sensitivity and technique of the consummate portrait photographer, with the unequalled scientific knowledge of digital ingenuity, clarity and enhancement.  If you want visual beauty at its exquisite best, Michael Campbell has the magic touch."

> Dear Michael Campbell,
I wanted to say about your program... I found it endlessly fascinating and I am just beginning to learn how to play with digital. I did think your seminar might have been helped with a  video of how to do some specific projects (you tried to do that a couple of times but got distracted by questions).  And that might lead to a teaching video or two, COOL!   Once again, thanks for an excellent seminar, I hope we see you again
 sometime soon!

Sincerely,

Hi Michael,
Hope you had a safe ride home. We have been going to every workshop and program on digital, and have to tell you we were most excited and motivated by what you showed could be done. Most of the others have shown interesting tricks and so on but nothing we could SELL. Your slide
show was fantastic and we could have looked at each image for several minutes to get the full impact. We hope to hear from you again and look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Hello Michael,
Thanks for a great seminar. I was not sure what to expect but got a lot more than I hoped for. I felt extremely motivated to put my notes to practice as soon as I got home. I've been involved with P.S. since 3.0 and am still a novice, and I probably will always be a novice. Just Too much to learn. I can hardly wait to get caught up with everything else to be able to have a little time to start experimenting even more. Thank You for tweaking the creative juices. I wrote a note to myself during your program, to go home and pull out my son's old toys (my son is 9 so there's a ton
to look through) and start photographing them to use as digital props.

Thanks Again for coming to Florida. I look forward to keeping in touch through the keyboard.

Michael,
Glad to hear you returned safely to the land of earthquakes.  The seminar was wonderful and you did much to inspire the members to stretch the boundaries of  digital.

Thanks again and if you're ever in the land of hurricanes again, "ring me up!"

Hello Michael,
I found  your talk helpful in many ways. As a professional photographer I learned several applications for this technology I did not know existed. As you know, one good lead is worth a great deal. I've seen the tech stuff before and probably will again. I enjoyed hearing YOUR application of the technique and not a dissertation on what the programs are capable of doing. I will more likely than not apply the "painted look" to a glamour photography business here in Orlando. I would have enjoyed seeing more examples of female glamour done in this style to see what has worked for you. Because of the content of the images I am sure it is just "safe" to leave them at home.

Thanks again for taking the time to share.
